Project Directions: Create bottle labels for a beverages.

Inspiration
My inspiration for the graphics as the main focal point of my bottle labels was the natural beauty found in the midwest landscapes. Choosing photos from Minnesota, Nebraska, and North Dakota (all places I have personal connections to), I though about how the landscapes could be reduced to shapes. Working in Adobe Illustrator, I traced over the landscapes, filled in the shapes with colors, applied a texture, and brought the landscape image more into a square shape which fit the bottle better.
Working with mockups:
To showcase my labels, I worked with several free mockups. Unfortunately I couldn’t find what I really wanted to be able to show all three bottles together with a background that complemented the product. Using Adobe Photoshop, I compiled the above mockup, placing three bottles on the background of my choice. To do this, I needed to pay attention to where the shadows fell, and where the colors of the juices reflected off of the other bottles.
